A few weeks back, I was contacted by Auria asking if I was interested in reviewing their earphones. As someone who's struggled forever with traditional earbuds, I was thrilled!
I was sent the Exceed Sport earphones to try out. I decided to give them a try on my long run last Saturday. Auria says:
"Experience an exciting new level of comfort from our XFit system. Run, hike, bike or walk with the confidence that your earphones will remain in place."To achieve their XFit system, 4 different sized pairs of Ear Canal Opening rings are included, so you can get the size that works for you.
Once I had them sized properly and in my ears, I plugged them into my iPod. I will say, the thing that impressed me the most was the sound quality - my music sounded good!. My one beef was the small button on the cord slide that was supposed to be able to advance the track didn't work for me. I'm not sure why - it could be that my iPod is ANCIENT, but in any case, it didn't affect me at all - I rarely skip tracks while running (if I don't like a song, it gets the boot from my playlist).

On to the run - I had 14 miles to decide whether or not I liked them. Initially, I felt like they were going to fall out. I'm so used to yurbuds that are actually IN my ear, that the different feel was strange at first. But once I started running, I forgot about them completely. They never moved! They were comfortable for my entire run, they stayed in place, and they sounded great!
Auria has generously offered free earphones to one of my readers. Since this is my first giveaway, I'm going to keep it simple - simply leave me a comment and you are in! I'll take entries until Mother's Day, May 8, after which I'll announce the winner. Good luck!
(Disclaimer - I was given the product to test for free, but the opinions expressed are my own. The photos are from the Auria website.)
Yippeee!!! Cool giveway!
ReplyDeleteI will tell you the experience I had with Auria. I worked for the owner of Auria & he is cheap. He paid me with headphones. I was surprised he was the owner because he is not people friendly. I would pull customers to his booth & he would ignore them. How can you treat people this way??? I made him a lot of money & no commission for any sales I made for him & then he didn't want to give me any money for the hours I worked.
DeleteThere were customers who wanted their money back & he would ignore their emails & ignore them. The headphones are not that great. The chord is too long. His name is Dave. I would never work for him again and beware!
Count me in! I use Yurbuds, too, but I'm always open to options.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pain when ear buds fall out and are uncomfortable! great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCool that they picked you test! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet, earbuds following out is so agitating!
ReplyDeleteThey sound great! I'd love to try them out!
ReplyDeleteThey sound great. I haven't ever found anything that fits well for me so maybe I'll have to get some even if I don't win your contest.
ReplyDeleteawesome! Nice review!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I am always willing to try out new headphones/earbuds to see if they'll work for me. Ipod earbuds do NOT stay in at all, and right now I use those over the ear earbuds that work ok but are annoying because I also wear glasses and have to tuck the earpiece under my glasses earpiece. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteOh I would love some earbuds that didn't move!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your first giveaway!! I'm still searching for the perfect earbuds. iPod earbuds are an absolute FAIL on many levels and my skull candy, while comfortable, don't stay in very well. I'd love to give the Auria's a try!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll be lucky enough to win ear phones from here and the Nike running thingamajig from Kim ... then I can be decked out as I embark on my half marathon in early June! =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting your first giveaway. I haven't found earbuds that I love yet. Maybe these would make me happy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the road test and review...these look great! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try these. Thanks for the chance.

My husband listens to his iPod while bike riding, these would be perfect for him.

ah, I'd like in. If that sliding-button thing actually worked, it would be awesome because my ipod nano touch is difficult to fast-forward while running
ReplyDeleteI have NEVER been able to run with music because no earbuds work for me--i'd love to try these and see if they're the answer!
ReplyDelete:)
I'm not sure if this is international...but if it is, count me in!

I could definitely use a new pair of ear buds. My current ones don't work to well. I'm in!
ReplyDeleteI really like this kind of earphone and I want to have it. I wish I will be the winner of this giveaway. The review is so great and you can really tell that it is a good earphone to have.
