TCM Training Week 8

It seems like my life has been consumed by basement goodness lately. My training is sort of suffering. That said, I had some good miles last week, even if I did miss a run...

Monday: rest

Tuesday: rest

Wednesday: 7 of the best miles I've run in I can't tell you how long. As in, I set out to do 5 and couldn't make myself stop. I wish I'd had time to run further. Glorious. (ave. pace = 10:37)

Thursday: 5 miles. I think it's the weather - these felt awesome as well. (ave. pace = 10:27)

Friday: Unintentional rest day. It was expo day though, so there was LOTS of walking...

Saturday: rest

Sunday: Chicago Rock-n-Roll Half plus 2.66 warm up miles. Total garmin distance run = 16.3 miles. Walked 1.32 miles post race. Sorry that my race report sounds so crabby - it isn't like me to be so whiny. But the report is honest - it's where I was that day. I considered taking it down, but I'm letting it stand and moving on. I'm still so happy I had the opportunity to race. I just wish I'd have been able to stay in a better spot in my head throughout it...

Week Total Miles: 28.3 miles

  1. Hey, gotta love those 1/2's that don't go as planned don't you?! Been there...! I have a half this weekend, also have my BIL's wedding, so Friday/Saturday we will be going the ENTIRE day, then i will drive 2 hours to run 13.1. I am expecting GREAT things.
    Let's hope he gets the basement done, huh :)

  3. Half marathons are tough for me... either I do great or I hate them from the first mile onwards.
