Marathon Training Week 14

I want to get this out of the way quick - I'm working on a race report that should be ready by tomorrow...

Monday: 3.5 easy recovery miles with Sarah, a friend of mine who is training to run the F.A.B. 5k with me in June. Average pace = 11:20

Tuesday: 5.48 miles of speedwork with the running club. Average pace = 10:18

Wednesday: Rest

Thursday: 5.75 music-less miles. Average pace = 10:24 (I was surprised to find that I went faster without music - I kept having to consciously slow down.)

Friday: No running, but I headed to WI to clean my Mom's house top to bottom. Crosstraining? My biseps hurt...I spent the night to finish in the AM.

Saturday: Finish cleaning. Haul ass back to IL. Packet pick up. Then out to our school raffle party, where I drink lots of WATER but stay out way too late. TIRED!

Sunday: Splish Splash half marathon. 13.1 miles in 2:24:36. Race Report to come.

Week Total Miles: 27.83 Step back week is over - 20 miles on deck this weekend. Then it's TAPER TIME.

  3. Way to run this past week! Whoot! Now, taper time? I love it! I ran 37 last week and have 15 on deck this week, which will feel like nothin'!
