2. I am at a very weird place mentally in my training. I am so so pessimistic. I feel like some injury is going to take me out at ANY SECOND. I know I'm 5 weeks out, but this is not something I've experienced before, and I don't really get it. Even after my knee went all wonky last fall, I always knew I'd finish. Maybe it's because I want to WAY MORE than *just finish* this time, or maybe it's because of number 3.
3. Left shin. Very achy. Very disconcerting. I think that tomorrow will either give me a boost of confidence or be horrible. I can't decide which. The good news is that the weird feeling GOES AWAY while I'm running.
4. I spent all my birthday money yesterday. I am going to run cute this summer.
5. FINISH LINE PHOTO OF BLISSFUL JOY.

That smile was there the whole dang day, I swear!
Go get the 18er, look cute while you do, and hoping the aches - mentally and physically - go away for EVER!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your 18 miler, and yea for new running clothes!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...what better feeling than the finish line? :)
Good luck tomorrow on your 18 miler! Pay attention to your actual pain, of course--but you're not injured, have a positive attitude, you rock!!
ReplyDelete:)
Good luck on the 18 miler!! GAH!!!! Is Grandma's only 5 weeks away???? I am hurting in the training arena.
ReplyDeleteYou're gonna rock your 18! Just take it one mile at a time with your shin. It's definitely good that your aches go away while running, probably just tight muscles then :) you're gonna rock it!
ReplyDeleteGo slay that 18 then do some cold-hot-cold on the shin.
ReplyDeleteI'll be doing the. Run for the fields 5k tomorrow. I'm using it to set my training paces.
Cannot believe how fast Grandmas is sneaking up!
Take that 18 and make it your b*tch!!
ReplyDeleteI'm you 100th follower!! Woot. Woot!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about the 18. It's going to be awesome, I know!!
Bobbi, you can do it! that is a great picture. Keep that smile on your face!
ReplyDeleteYou need to show us your cute outfits!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you getting a bit meh about training? Do you think that is why you fear the injury? How is your shin?
