I seem to have skipped weeks 1 through 4, huh? They were mostly recovery weeks - I didn't worry for a whole month about getting in anything I didn't FEEL like getting in. It was nice. I DID get a decent long run in each week (week 2 was 6 miles, then 9 miles, and last week I ran a 10 miler) but outside of that, it was pretty laid back. So this was the first week I was back in "training" mode. Leave it to me to start up hard during a heat wave. Ugh.
Monday: rest
Tuesday: 5.5 hot miles (first 1+ with my girls) (average pace: 11:26)
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: 4.5 hot early morning miles (average pace: 10:57)
Friday: storm induced rest
Saturday: 4 hot miles (average pace: 10:32)
Sunday: 8.1 evening miles (average pace: 11:10)
Week total miles: 22.1 (it only goes UP from here...)
On to the WINNER! Random.org chose lucky number 2 which means Christy gets the gotein! Email me your info (bandthejs@yahoo.com) and I'll get it in the mail. Thanks for playing everyone!
Kudos to you for pushing thru this sweltering week. I don't know how you got out for 8 at night. I'm pretty sure I lack the discipline to do that.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Christy!
Nice week you had training. I am happy that I live near Seattle and the highest temps we have gotten are around 80-85ish. Not bad at all.
ReplyDeleteGreat job this week getting back into the serious training!!!

Good job getting those miles in especially with our weird weather last week!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Bobbi! I'm still working on getting myself into a regular training mindset again.
ReplyDeleteYay! The training is back ON!!! :) Did your kids decide about the Just Book It! 5K? :)
