But it's spring break, and I'm attempting to potty train the boy, and my thoughts will have to wait. The potty training? Is not going as well as I'd have hoped. He's been pants-less for 3 days now. My facebook status yesterday:

*sigh* Lord, please help me survive this week.
I'm off to stare at a naked butt again. I refuse to think about poop any more places it does NOT belong. I'll be back to regularly scheduled posts soon...
I was on the phone with my friend yesterday when she screams "OMG Paige, why do you have poop in your hand?!?!"
ReplyDeleteYou mom's are hero's.
We're in the midst of potty training Connor. The other night he stands on top of his training potty and begins to pee through his clothes. He doesn't quite understand the phrase "pee on the potty"!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, woman.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say I can feel your pain.... but I can't and don't wish it at all
ReplyDeleteSo, this is what I have to look forward to in a few years? Awesome... =)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I could not be happier that my last is potty trained. I think it's the worst part of parenting! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHere's my potty training story--and I don't even have any kids! My niece (who's 17 now) was still in diapers at age 3--my sister just could not get her to go on the potty. I watched her for a weekend, and was so grossed out by changing her poopy diaper I told her "no more diapers!" slapped a pair of little girl undies on her, and put a sheet of paper on the fridge--whenever she went on the potty, she got a sticker. When my sister came back on Sunday night, my niece was potty trained. My sister is still annoyed at me to this day--but also happy it happened.
ReplyDeleteHahaha ... poop in each hand! I wish it were socially acceptable for adults to do that! (That was much funnier in my head, sorry, pretty gross!)
ReplyDeleteOMG - that's too funny. And please excuse my husband's comment above (Jim) - sometimes he has weird random thoughts - but both of you made me laugh :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say. I've got nothing here but sympathy.
ReplyDeleteLMAO....I can so relate. My kids are on spring break too and all I can say is thank God for wine!
ReplyDeletePotty training was easy with my first. I honestly had no idea why people thought it was so difficult because my daughter (and actually her sister too) did it herself. I did not get so lucky with my boys. I remember it all so well and am thinking good thoughts that soon it will be just a memory for you too.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter practically potty trained herself at age 2 so I thought potty training was super easy and frankly had no idea what the other moms were complaining about. Then I had a boy and all bets were off. He was finally trained by age 4. Now I have much more sympathy! :)
